Hello!

Just a couple questions.  I'll be starting post-prod for a short film in the next couple weeks and was wondering about a couple things.

I wanted to use the rarevision 5d to rgb converter to get my 24p 550d footage into Prores422 24p.  While the conversion will be done on a mac, I was hoping to be able to edit in premiere pro CS4 windows using the prores quicktimes.  What should my sequence settings in premiere be to be able to achieve this?  Is this even possible?

Also, I inquired earlier about the best options for a mastering codec.  Suny responded that Prores4444 has been working quite well.  I don't imagine I can master in Prores4444 from my windows CS4 can I?

Thanks in advance and cheers!

Hey Patrick,

That's a good question, so good in fact that I don't really know the complete answer. You can view ProRes files on a Windows machine as long as you have the most resent version of QT for Windows, or if you need an older version of QT for some software computability you can download the Windows ProRes package from Apple.

Now when it comes to CS4 I have to say I'm at a loss, let's see if we can get Mike from Adobe to offer his thoughts on the subject.
